When asked for their number one job searching tip, our team had many great answers, so we decided to create a new series to highlight these excellent pieces of advice.

This week’s Job Hunting Tip is to EXPLORE YOUR WHY.

Director of Recruiting Tina Rock says that, “The first tip I would give is to really explore ‘the why’ behind their reason for starting a job search. If it is financial, ask for a raise. If it is commute, find out if there is remote possibility. If it is lack of flexibility for start and end times, ask for it. Once someone has thoroughly explored and answered ‘the why’, they are more committed and dedicated to their search. The other recommendation I would have is to set up ‘search agents’ using the job platforms most appropriate for their type of role.”
