The Advanced Hires team has made personal and professional goals going into the new year and thought that instead of sharing what those are, it would be more helpful to talk about how to achieve those goals. It’s well and good to set resolutions at work, but how can you keep them? Our team has experience in furthering the career paths of not just themselves, but of clients and candidates. In this new blog series, we will explore what tips we have to offer and how you can make your professional goals a reality.
Director of Recruiting, Tina Rock, says that her advice for anyone trying to complete a professional resolution this year is to STEP INTO YOUR FEARS.
“I have been listening to motivational speeches and put some action items down for 2021,” Tina Rock says. “The first thing to do is to ‘step into your fears’ by listing your top three fears and working them in reverse order. I am doing this with daily thoughts and working with my executive coach on how to work through these.”
Tina continues: “My other goal for 2021 is to further develop and learn about each of my direct report’s motivating factors, their stresses, their 7 F’s (Faith, Family, Finances, Fitness, Friends, Fun, Future) and which one they are focusing on. I gave the team Paul Batz’s book, WHAT REALLY WORKS after seeing him speak at the most recent United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County “Member Connect” event for the Technology United affinity group, which the only one of it’s kind in the whole country.”
