The Advanced Hires team has made personal and professional goals going into the new year and thought that instead of sharing what those are, it would be more helpful to talk about how to achieve those goals. It’s well and good to set resolutions at work, but how can you keep them? Our team has experience in furthering the career paths of not just themselves, but of clients and candidates. In this new blog series, we will explore what tips we have to offer and how you can make your professional goals a reality.
Recruiter Andrew Fischer says that his advice for anyone trying to complete a professional resolution this year is to EXPAND YOUR KNOWLEDGE.
A great goal to have for anyone, no matter what you are interested in or trying to pursue professionally, would be to actively expand your depth of knowledge into something you want to pursue or are already pursuing. If you were to compound all the time you watch TV, play apps on your phone, scroll social media…etc., and take a fraction of that time daily to read books and articles relating to what you want to improve, you’d see a big difference. This can be hard to put into a routine, but much like physical exercise, once you get a steady schedule going, it becomes a normal part of life.
